ITT hired IGS to plan the Business Development International Conference. At ITT Defense, IGS provided full- service capabilities, including making all travel/lodging arrangements for attendees, logistical arrangements relating to the running of conference(s), including catering and provision of refreshments, developing conference programming and themes, assisting with speaker coordination, on-site staffing and coordination, post-conference customer engagement research, and reporting.

IGS provided full conference design, development, planning and implementation from concept to completion for their first international conference. Due to the nature of this first ever international initiative, the scope and complexity were large compared to their current efforts. Attendees from over 30 countries were present at this international conference. IGS services included; surveying and selecting an appropriate site, working with food and catering to design menus to accommodate international tastes, coordinating exciting offsite conference activities and functions, designing all convention conference materials, website and online registration including a creative follow-up evaluations for attendees.
 

Notable Successes

• IGS minimized difficulties by demonstrating multicultural sensitivity and by providing information, activities and menus to accommodate a diverse group. Successful planning and budgeting also streamlined this process.
• IGS trimmed the budget from $150,000 to $67,000 by streamlining the conference tremendously and encouraging ITT to reevaluate their program sessions based on their corporate objectives.
• IGS helped ITT to trim costs by not sending every member of the ITT team required to attend to the conference. Rather, we recorded, edited, and loaded the conference footage to their Web site for personnel who were not present.
