To promote high quality and family-oriented fun, the National Park Service holds a series of summer concerts at Fort Dupont Park each year. Produced by the Civil War Defenses of Washington (CWDW), the concerts are free, for all ages, and feature jazz, funk, soul and R&B artists. The National Park Service was in need of a company that would plan, promote, and execute its summer concert series in a unique way that would increase attendance for future musical events and reflect the family-oriented legacy of the park.
IGS worked in conjunction with CWDW to offer the National Park Service a strategic event creation and execution approach. We provided concert promotion, theater management and production, artist negotiation, concert financial management planning and equipment rental services to ensure that each concert reached its highest level of success.
In our role working with CWDW, we increased concert attendance by 10% with less than 10 planning days.
